Products that seem like rackets: - plain wastebaskets ($25-$150) - packing boxes ($3-$10) - memory foam mattresses ($400+) These feel like easy-to-make products that cost much more than their raw materials. I'm surprised competition doesn't drive prices down. Other examples?

Dumbbells (and weights in general) always struck me as appallingly expensive. It’s bulk iron. Always assumed it’s due to high shipping costs bc of weight, but never knew for sure.
