our experience so far is that even medium-complexity projects hit major snags in Google's serverless environment, which tends to give us errors that are under the hood and unable to be troubleshooted by our engineers. Waiting for tickets and "no current ETA" bug fixes, yay.
I'd say AWS is 2-3 years ahead. Completely different experience.

We're so heavily built on Google, but I might try AWS anyways. I can imagine slightly higher latency for mixed-cloud projects but for most of our applications it wouldn't be an issue and would save us a ton of trouble if AWS is truly better.
