Love this, and can relate. I used to have lots and lots of creative ideas - I kept giant lists of business ideas to give away. No. What I should have done was stopped entertaining new ideas and focused on what I was doing completely, which would have led to the insight that I was incredibly bored and should do something bigger.

I love the lists thing, but I disagree with this take - keeping track of my thoughts and ideas has helped me to learn to self-evaluate, and to learn the patterns in my thinking. Learning what to discard is as important as knowing what to focus on imo

Oh I definitely agree with keeping track of them - just don’t pursue them. In general, career should be pursued in series, not parallel.
