Great examples. I think 5 years might be a long time horizon for Twilio.

This is a really good question. How did you come up with it?
-
I get asked a lot which companies I would buy and hold for 10 years. I have only two - Amazon and Flexport (plan to hold both ~forever) - but have plenty that I will hold for 3-5.

Starting to feel this way about AAPL after holding for a decade.

Agree (I don’t own it)

Amazon . Stay on the exponential curve but bail before plateau
-
Oo disagree on that one. I think that plateau is well past 10 years out. Look at the development velocity - it is accelerating, not decelerating.

Paradoxically, all of the stocks in my portfolio. I buy all of them expecting to hold for 10 years or indefinitely, really. But as fast as the disruption curve has become, no one can see even 5 years into the future now, let alone 10. Remember this cover one year before iPhone?pic.twitter.com/ZaQJ8GqSgP

Visa and MasterCard. Payment game is changing long term. Feels like we could look back ten years from now and say, “Remember when...”
