“A member of a body which has subpoena power”. The extra words add the accuracy + nuance which is important on this one. I see where you’re coming from but still think it’s a stretch to interpret it as a threat against speech.

Ah, I see the disconnect now. The key operator for me is “will have subpoena power in a month.” This changed the tone considerably. Congress has subpoena power now; *AOC* will have subpoena power in a month. That framing makes it more of a personal threat.
