agreed on but I’m concerned if this alone justifies the valuation premium B) but they’re likely going to be the first even if it’s decades away
Until you drive a Tesla, it’s hard to understand a) how hopelessly far ahead Tesla is compared to traditional automakers, and b) how massively far away Tesla is from actual autonomous cars.

Autonomous cars will be optimized for low cost and operated by fleets. Virtually no personal ownership. I don’t think Tesla has (yet) emerged as the company who can make a bare bones product at the lowest cost.
