See, the way VC works is large institutional investors (foundations, university endowments, pension funds) invest in VCs in order to earn a return & continue work for social good. I'd just gently say that doing social good creates more evenly wealthy societies which leads to happier, longer lived more prosperous customers overall. I'm all for wealth creation /competition but a big homeless problem also means that many more are living in poverty. Win win.

The world is not zero sum and those two things are not mutually exclusive. No one is arguing that we should do less social good.
