This is the most important chart you'll see all week. The learning here is that "your rent is high because of no rent control" is an excellent, easy-to-understand (but incorrect) message. i think there is just a huge difference between "why is MY rent so high" and "why is rent in general so high" - rent control is really great for some even if it's bad for rents in general
