Seems odd to me that the pro-Kavanaugh arguments are centered around 'beyond a reasonable doubt.' The burden should be extremely high to deprive someone of their liberty. Seems like the bar could be considerably lower for appointing someone to a position.

Let’s put this more plainly. This is a job interview process for what should be the hardest job in the world to get. Unless the candidate is approaching 100%, why is he even being considered at this point?

I think the counterpoint would be that no candidate will ever again approach 100% because of opposition tactics.
