Tesla nailed the UI. That’s the problem with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes and they don’t see that. Their UI’s all look like dumb phones UI’s did. Hence the iPhone feel to the car. Steve Jobs examples it perfectly in the first iPhone keynote why it’s important.
Something I’ve changed my mind about in last few months: Tesla would be much better off if it were owned/run by Apple with Musk just on the board. Musk got it here, the product is awesome. It’s blocking & tackling now, and Apple can knock product/experience/scale out of the park.

I'd like to see that. You know Apple wouldn't compromise on the product and they are probably some of the farthest behind in the driverless car movement.
