OKRs are a great tool if a company lacks an organic laser-like focus, and a distraction if it has one already.

Larry Page used them with google, seemed like it worked well. I was thinking the other day about it. Maybe the larger the organization and less the visionary can get into details, then the more OKRs are needed.
Yes, I think they’re inevitable when an org gets large. But that (to me) seems analogous to a lack of organic focus.

I use them for me personally. i think what’s helpful is having a specific number tied to a key result, but they’re best used as a framework for thinking. There should be some kind of quantitative tracking.
