Genuinely asking because I don't understand it. But I wonder why VCs launch crypto funds unless it's a marketing ruse for raising funds of their own. They get such incredible deals by getting ACTUAL equity. Legal rights, voting power, etc.

It’s because the global crypto market is lacking knowledge in the fundamentals of investing and look for getting rich through bullshit ICO scams and unfortunately most VCs are taking advantage of the uneducated...

Excuse the poor grammar. I wrote that in hast while waking home from the gym. I meant to say “global crypto non-institutional investors,” aka normal people.

Eh it’s the new, cool thing you can raise a fund more easily on bc of FOMO. I’m sure there is $ to be made but I won’t touch it, so more deal flow for the old traditional leftovers!

Can someone explain how ICO is threat? I have never understood it. Is it that non HNIs can invest? If I'm pitching New York Venture Partners I gotta impress
@Trace_Cohen first. The investment vehicle feels irrelevant and after thought. - 3 more replies
