A friend who worked for the state department once said to me, “taxes are the price you pay for civilization.”
If a founder spent most of your seed check on overpriced office renovations and frivolous lawsuits, then said to you, “failed startup investments are the price you pay for innovation,” would you feel like maybe there way some room for improvement? :)
