When you think about it, Bezos’s $2B is only a small fraction of the problem. $400B is given to charity every single year! It’s an epidemic at this point. I wonder how much of that $400B is wasted be spectacularly inefficient nonprofit organizations with poor (or no) incentive structures. While almost certainly more efficient than government, there is a missing piece to this equation. Donations should be given with a mandate/plan.
