#abolishprofit is the first hashtag movement to really resonate with me in a long time. Profit is an opaque, biased opinion of financial performance. We must optimize for free cash flow and focus on increasing per share value in the long run.

I may be a typical baniya, but to me, any business sans profit just doesn’t make any sense. So, this tweet didn’t make any sense to me. I think I am not able to grasp the context behind the tweet.

Margin ≠ profit. You’re confusing gross profit (margin) with net profit (what people mean when they say “profit”).
