Amazon, StichFix & Netflix use data to see whats popular & make their own generic goods, clothes & content respectively. The private labels start out as complements but eventually cannibalize. What vertical is next? Food delivery networks making popular local foods?

Re Uber, I think these ride sharing platforms are best positioned as logistics network & consumer facing UI for enabling go-to market strategy of all the cos building autonomous cars. Re Airbnb, most platforms say that but eventually cannibalize their supply :)

Once autonomous cars come, the service is a commodity - Uber/Lyft will be saddled w/huge bloat from running complex/competitive driver recruiting/onboarding ops...and without owning fleets, hard to compete against new lighter-weight entrants. But could be wrong.
