The best thing about NYC is that the Uber/Lyft drivers have no interest in starting a conversation. I can’t wait for the first app to offer a ‘prefers no conversation’ option.

Why? I agree it can be interruptive but I also find it challenging that so many riders don’t seem ready to engage with the people who (usually take pride in) providing the service. Or is it an extrovert / introvert thing? Genuine curiosity here
I spend the majority of the day talking and just prefer to not be talking and rest my voice/brain wherever possible.
