I’ll bite. Success you’re attributing to writing is probably due to strong thinking *demonstrated* by writing. Writing ability is neither a necessary nor sufficient condition for having thoughts worth writing down.

I agree - it isn’t necessary to be successful in business. I do think it’s hard to be really successful in business without being great at one method of communication. And with the rise of email, great writing is an unfair advantage.

No. But I think it’s more likely that an English major can write than a business major can business :) and easier to screen for.
