Game Devs: If your twitter account is not set to private, you use your real name, list your employer and job title in your bio, and tweet about your job then you are, by your own design, making yourself a public figure. That has benefits and consequences. Good luck out there!

I dunno dude. That's related to the Price incident but not at all the cause of the controversy. Her company pulled some extremely questionable choices. I would say they were far more unprofessional than she was.

Oh for sure, I’m not endorsing any firing. I’m too far separated to really know all of what went on there. I’m just saying, if you make yourself a public figure be careful, people will attack.

It’s kind of like thinking “my tweets are my own” will save you from getting fired if you tweet something unwise while your twitter is linked to your employer.

The idea of someone having a twitter account that says their name, where they work, etc., then they use that account to interact with their customers, then claim “this is my personal twitter account” when things go bad, is amusing.
