This should be a shrieking headline at every media outlet. The economic war waged by the US against Venezuela is causing tens of thousands of deaths. Every 2020 candidate should be pressed hard on this.

Joe Biden has “no empathy” for young people trying to undo the decades of horrible things he championed like mass incarceration, war, and austerity.

People disingenuously attacking Tulsi Gabbard for being “an Assad apologist” (she’s not) are perfectly fine with Obama/Clinton Democrats cozying up to el-Sisi, Netanyahu, and KSA.

More than 30 countries around the world today such as Canada, South Africa and Finland allow prisoners to vote. This is not a radical idea. Every American citizen must be able to vote. Period.

South Carolina has a higher incarceration rate than any country on Earth. African Americans are 27% of the state population but 60% of the prison population. Our racist criminal justice system disenfranchises millions. This is quite simply voter suppression.

Student loan debt is crushing millions of families. That’s why I’m calling for something truly transformational: Universal free college and the cancellation of debt for more than 95% of Americans with student loan debt. Read all about it here:

Trump’s foreign policy—without exception—is an extension of Obama’s foreign policy. Claiming there was a complete 180 when Trump came to power is naive and ahistorical.

Our hearts go out to the victims and families of the horrific attacks in Sri Lanka. No person should have to fear for their life in their place of worship. We must work to bring this world together around our common humanity.

On 17 April 1961, a CIA-trained Cuban paramilitary group invaded Cuba in a failed attempt to overthrow Castro. This marked the beginning of Operation Mongoose—JFK brought “the terrors of the earth” to Cuba: mass murder, large scale destruction, and the brink of nuclear war.

Your “honor roll” is an imperial triumvirate who most recently destroyed Libya and turned it into a slave society. (Also: when were we *not* “hanging” with the Saudis?)

These are the Blairites who would sooner destroy their own party than allow it to represent the working class of their country. This after Labour increased its share of votes by more than in any election since 1945. Pelosi is putting the left of her party on serious notice here.

There was no uncertainty about the implications of “All Lives Matter” in 2015. Anyone paying attention to BLM (and its white backlash) would know this.

I did not run for Congress to be silent. I did not run for Congress to sit on the sidelines. I ran because I believed it was time to restore moral clarity and courage to Congress. To fight and to defend our democracy.
