Agreed. Meister Eckhart is well worth listening to and mysticism is interesting in as far as mystics realize that the immediately given reality is lost. For this reason, I think most thoughtful people have been attracted to mysticism at some point.

But ultimately I think mysticism does not really do justice to what the human being is.

For this reason I do actually think mysticism and Christianity are mutually exclusive. But I am of course well aware that in the course of history there have been many "mystic" interpretations of Christianity - all are a misunderstanding, as I see it.
