Within western culture, reductionist thinking and assembly lines have atomized (separated) all aspects of life into commodities. People are not commodities or robots. People are moving, animated infinities.

All material aspects of life have been commoditized. The meaning inherent in living within a specific cultural lifestyle with communal practices and a collective myth still exists in some places. In many places however, this collective sense of meaning has been lost.
