This is a difficult balance. I’m often way more blunt than people are comfortable with. Think about their ontology, their experiences. Can you relate to where they are on the learning/growth curve, and what they care about at that point on the curve?

If you can relate information to emotions they experience that feel real to them, then they’re heavily incentivized to listen.
