I’ve done the psychedelics Gone on the meditation retreats Felt the ego die and be reborn. I’d still guess that when our bodies die, it’s lights out forever.

This is perhaps the most unfounded metaphysical belief that I hold: I have an intuition that nothingness does not exist in the Cosmos. I don't know what happens when we die... (1/2)

(2/2) Our bodies and minds die. The light goes out. But we cannot notice the passage of time, cannot be in the void, and so I think the very next perceptible moment will necessarily be one of consciousness. Is there some thread of connection between lives? I don't see why or how.
