Yess! Only responsibly choosing a different behavior will do the job because we don’t have “benefits” data for this cost benefit analysis. We have an unknown for new behavior, so it requires courage and an understanding that the current pathological behavior is not working.

Can relate to the longer-than-anticipated "clean up"! What was the most helpful practices or models you found for reducing past-based responses?

So far it has been a combination of (1) Anapana/vipassana to better catch the reactions and (2) a year long program where we trigger each other, distinguish the past, and choose a rational decision in everyday life. I supplement with realization therapy for processing deep trauma
