  10. In 2014, both sisters lost their pensions because they could not travel to register as displaced. Ukrainian authorities should provide pension payments to all pensioners, irrespective of their place of residence and delink pension eligibility from displaced person status.

  13. Another blatant attempt to silence free media. Russian authorities this weekend denied entry into to a Ukrainian journalist Taras Ibragimov, who has been covering politically motivated trials. He has been banned from entering Crimea for no less than 34 years - until 2054.

    I flew to Hong Kong to release ’s new World Report. This year it describes how the Chinese government is undermining the international human rights system. But the authorities just blocked my entrance to Hong Kong, illustrating the worsening problem.
