Hi all. We published our program yesterday, and one particular aspect of it (the lack of diversity) has deservedly drawn a lot of attention.

@rubyconf is not a tool to solve our social problem. If the program has no explicit discrimination, let it be. We have RailsGirls instead.

@moeffju Giving bias to minority does not solve the problem. Just create reverse discrimination. @rubyconf 

@yukihiro_matz Women are not a minority; Men don’t suffer structural discrimination; The process must be neutral-blind.

@moeffju I believe the @rubyconf program was chosen without revealing names nor gender. Why should they fix unbroken program?
