    Zoroastrians / Parsis fled in all directions once their lands were captured. It is a testament of Indian civilization that only the groups that landed up in India still retain their roots, rest all were 'assimilated' by 'local cultures' of wherever they sought refuge.

    This Bollywoodiya is a Parsi Parsis, who fled Persia, after it was subjugated by Islam. They found refuge in the then Hindu States of India. Today, they've a problem with India giving refuge to Hindus who're persecuted in the Islamic states!

    Does one become culturally illiterate only if one doesn’t know Urdu or the Pakistani context? Talking of cultural literacy, I would love to know how much of Bangla or Tamizh or Kannadiga culture knows. How much does she know of their historical heritage?

    Err, it's Suo Moto, not Suno Moto. The reason why Bollywood should stick to mindless song and dance and not bother their tiny brains with matters of importance.

    Also ques: can’t the courts take suno moto cognisance of what’s happening in Uttar Pradesh.. there are enough videos going around to call for some kind of judicial intervention, no?

    1/ Creating this thread as a brief synopsis to help people understand the situation in India. They're still dealing with a conflict between Muslims following Islam and Hindu's that goes back over 1K years. When Islam first came to South Asia an estimated 80M HIndu's were killed.

    It has always been a religious war for the mindset that encourages illegal immigration into India. The tragicomedy is that we refuse to accept it despite their clear, repeated and unequivocal assertions. The fatal joke is on us, not them.
