Protecting a handful of spoiled public figures who didn’t like to be teased is a great way to lose the crowd. This policy has good intentions on the surface, but it’s too messy; it’ll drastically increase both resentment and complaining across the board. DON’T CENSOR CRITICISM.

The disconnect between what Youtube wants to be vs its actual community has never been wider. Youtube employees are now deleting some of the most beloved videos to try and send a message; but what hubris to just ignore that the videos were beloved.

What about channels like Onision which benefited from harassing people, as well as abusing the copyright system, as well as abusing your ToS and bending it to his will? What about the channels talking about Onision, making multiple videos on him to spread the word? (1)

Because now, he can easily report these channels to silence them to stop people from spreading the news around about how he is a sick freak. There’s so many issues I’m seeing here that shouldn’t even exist. Every time there’s a new policy change, there’s always a loophole. (2)
