I refuse to acknowledge the attempt at “rating” YA books, especially since it results in a categorization which would deem books from authors of color, authors who have experiences outside of the “acceptable norm” of predominant Western ethics (founded on religion), as Dangerous.
It’s not just the experiences of authors of color, it is most if not all marginalizations Which is sickening considering how YA is often a way for others who are discovering more about themselves or are in need of help to see representation. Labeling them Dangerous is *dangerous*
