i am seeing people leaving. it sucks to be shot with munitions i know. but there are BIPOC folks out here still so if you’re white and you’ve been chanting Black Lives Matter, consider walking the walk also.

another brief appearance by federal police, to attack a small handful of people at the fencepic.twitter.com/hhq7DswLkW

the feds pushed us out of the park. it happened fast. first a bunch of tear gas dropped behind the fence so protestors couldn’t put it out. then a HUGE line came from the south.

being pushed out of the park despite being labeled press. hard to assert my rights through the gas mask, but i tried to explain that it’s unlawful to disperse press.pic.twitter.com/4ZWVips5tU

officers outnumber the protests at this point. if this image doesn’t terrify you i truly don’t know what will. it scares me.

the way they try to humanize themselves through their riot gear, telling me “watch out, you might trip” when i walk backwards away from them, terrified, just before they release thousands of dollars of tear gas and bullets on innocent people... i don’t really have words for that

i wonder what the different color lights mean? some of them are blue, green, red...pic.twitter.com/tAM6sqsTlH

tear gas canisters go whizzing by my head as i film. when i’m standing next to the feds, they leave me alone. when they get far enough away and start shooting, the tear gas doesn’t discriminate

i ask some questions of the federal agents behind the fence after they retreated from the city streets. instead of answering me, they continued to point weapons through the fence at unarmed civilians, many of whom were medics.

this protestor was trapped above federal agents who repeatedly demanded he come down. he asked “if i come down will you let me go?” and they said yes. then they went and got a ladder which forced him to come down, and grabbed him.

a federal officer throws a tear gas canister directly at me even though i’m clearly labeled press! i mean, does this even surprise anyone anymore?

at around 3:30am it got to the point where the feds were just running out and grabbing anyone left in the road. that shit is dangerous and it makes me very worried for ppl who live in Lownsdale Park :( our houseless neighbors are all on the frontlines
