    He crossed lines of tolerating White House involvement in a criminal probe that NONE of his predecessors -- none -- ever crossed, What comes next may indeed be worse. But nothing excuses the damage he did to the office of the DAG.

    I recognize this is a minority view, but Rod Rosenstein's tenure, for its many faults also included moments of genuine service to and defense of this nation. And deep down, I fear he is someone we may miss when he is gone.

    This is news. Napolitano says Trump asked him to dangle a pardon to an associate who was indicted: “You know this person as well as I do. Call this person up and tell this person he’s going to be on the list of pardons that I will seriously consider.”

    This omission, in both local and national news, is the reason I started listing his lies in 2016. And it persists. Most of the rally coverage is still “Trump speaks to big excited crowd, insults X and Y, talks policy Z.” “Trump says 24 untrue things” goes entirely unmentioned.

    When Trump tells blatant lies or admits potentially illegal conspiracies, it doesn’t even get mentioned on local news. That’s a failure.
