did you get the SIM card working? :)
haha, no - I found out later that you need to enable it from Windows before you switch to Linux to enable it. Haven't had the patience to reinstall Windows yet to enable that. Also need windows for BIOS updates, so might do that within the next year or so just for good measure.

Hey Yosh just an update on the SIM card thing. It works! I tried my phone's card and that worked without any configuration! I'm using Ubuntu 18.04. Then I tried a prepaid chip, but first I had to "activate" it on a phone, with some SMSs, then it workedpic.twitter.com/By14LXvwy7

UEFI updates should hopefully work sooner or later natively under Linux using fwupd. See also: https://fwupd.org/vendorlist
