While I understand your frustration, this doesn’t really fall under that law in my opinion. It’s someone using their platform sending a message to you through their platform. At least it’s nice they have a clear opt out of future messages button

Except it's not a person inviting you to something, but a commercial entity that's put you on a mailing list without consent. That's covered by current EU spam laws. Unsolicited email sent in bulk is literally the definition of spam.
