I managed to set up basic IDE support for Rust in Visual Studio Community using this plugin: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=DanielGriffen.Rust … What I'd like to know now is if its possible to build/run/debug Rust projects from visual studio. Google doesn't give much help. Does anyone have advice?

I guess what I'm looking for is Cargo integration for Visual Studio? Does such a thing exist?

What I ended up settling on is using Visual Code for Rust (for which there is an extension with both RLS and Cargo integration), and Visual Studio for C++ development (which, being a fully fledged IDE, has much better support for C++ across the board).

Hey hey! Sorry, vim user here — RLS + rustfmt is the fanciest I've got working so far.
