Ohh, looks like the futures authors are looking to _eventually_ make futures part of Rust core. No timeline or anything; more an acknowledgement that it's an option. I think the summary of this is: I'm excited for the moment Async Rust becomes as nice to write as Sync Rust. And that moment might very well be this year!
