Does anyone have any good resources on lights? Going shopping for a good set for the living room, and not sure what to look for. I know top lights aren't supposed to be good, but that's about it hmmm.

i've been researching this and am almost ready to laser cut my own light fixture. a few ikea ones are good, and i've enjoyed some stuff here http://www.ylighting.com/ , but anything good is $$$$
Danngggg, yeah. I'm really curious how to balance good lighting with a reasonable budget. So far all I've seen is how art galleries do things, and that's not how I want my home to be :p

i prototyped a fixture w/LED strips but found that if you use fancy
@lifx strips the light is great, but not v bright (unless you get a silly/$$$ number of them), and cheaper strips are v bright but light temp sucks (even from ones listed as ~2500K/"warm") -
might cut something soon and just use 3x lifx A19s in it probably
