"ACID compliance" is probably the biggest buzz word in databases. It barely means anything, and is always thrown around like it's a big deal.

If you want to update more than row at a time within a single transaction, or if you occasionally wants to migrate you database schema with multiple mutations and want to roll all actions back if a single altercation fails, then acid compliance is something you want.

Sigh, the point is that ACID is mostly meaningless. It's not a database contest, nor an invitation to have it be explained back at me.
