TIL if you define toJSON on a JS prototype, you can define the behavior of the object when passed to JSON.stringify(). Wait, but then toJSON will be exposed publicly and calling it will return an object, not a serialized string? Isn't that counter-intuitive? I'd personally expect a public method called toJSON on an object to return JSON
