Got a feeling it's definitely latency. Time to first byte spikes here locally; my guess is that the lambda server takes a bit of time to spin up. Wouldn't worry about it tho; it's still feeling pretty much instant (:
"use a cache in front of it perhaps", have you got thoughts on what would be a good option there? Maybe @rauchg might have a suggestion? Something like varnish-cache probably too heavy.
