The Web Worker my app spun up to offload work took more time to load and parse the script than it took to do the work it was spun up to do. I love profiling stuff like this.
Heh, were you doing the no-copy stuff too? I was thinking about this, and doing all work in a worker doesn't seem feasible for all work.

I didn't implement it, but I was profiling some stuff to see if the library was doing stuff in a worker. Workers are tricky to get right, and I would imagine the perf costs are very different between browsers.
