I've been messing with Rust for the past few days, and it's all finally coming together for me.
Re-read the Rust book, and knew most of it already! I'm like, really enjoying this

I’d like to. The problem is how to interface with web audio without going via the main JavaScript thread

And getting midi in without jitter. Maybe if I kept running electron I could do a native addon that handled midi directly and all scheduling. Then spawn a seperate browser process (from UI) for just doing web audio.
