All this talk of availability of dependencies made me wonder if anybody has put a package registry On The Blockchain yet. Pls tell me someone already built something like this on top of IPFS or similar?

I thought every transaction needs gas cost in blockchain network so the install potentially very expensive. So dat.

Install would not be an onchain action, so it's free. Publishing would be potentially expensive. Just publishing the pointer (version->hash) would be affordable but not free.
