I think the three things I'm most stoked about right now are: 1. My fridge (delicious & cold). 2. My backpack (traveling made easier). 3. My laptop (can I interest u in arch Linux?).

Why not nixos? your i3 setup would be fully reproducible on nixos :)
NixOS is a great idea, but the execution doesn't work well with the way I work.
By comparison, Arch seems more pragmatic in design. Having familiar tools is pretty great!
