Agree except I switched to nodenv, so that I can switch to the Node version required by a project’s package.json automatically: https://github.com/nodenv/nodenv

Oh yeah, that's cool! — not so much advocating for a particular solution here, just saying _any_ solution would be better than what we have right now. We need a foundation-blessed toolchain manager.

I like the conceptual split of toolchain manager, project manager, and compiler, but why not make the project manager also manage your toolchains? One less thing to learn. We’ll see.

Btw go try `yaourt` instead of `pacman` for AUR stuff makes things easier (you still have to understand the diff ofc) :)
