(All of this is because I tried install GRUB, then tried installing GRUB on XFS. Don't do that. Trying was fun tho!)

I mean, I'm getting a pretty great grasp of how filesystems are mounted in Linux now. I had a conceptual idea of how it worked before, now it's a bit, err, more hands on. This kinda feels like playing a video game, and getting stuck on the first level for 4 days. It great!

Haha, okay — so now what's happened is that I can no longer connect to the internet. wifi-menu requires dialog(1) to run; and woops somehow that didn't get install. Time to figure out netctl(1) I guess

Welllp, managed to connect to WiFi and install Lynx. This should get me past the captivating portal at work tomorrow, hopefully

Managed to get Wayland working before logging off. Going from terminal -> full on UI feels like magic. Gonna go with i3 tho, I think. Could use some stability haha.

Uh oh, I've managed to warp myself into shared library trouble. pacman(1) stopped working. I get why NixOS is a thing now, lol

I was getting warnings about a shared lib during installation; figured it might be missing a file during installation, so I ran an upgrade for that package. Boom, pacman can no longer find that file because it depends on v59, and we now have v60 installed. Shared libs :(
