Bonus points for folks that can explain their reasoning; it's hard to base decisions on quantity alone haha

no. if IE10 support was possible with incremental effort and didn't disadvantage other users, yes. But supporting IE tends to degrade non-IE experiences.

What about IE11?

No, unfortunately not. Safari added support for ES modules a while back, which removed our best option for feature detection on load :(

3-5% can be a huge group (based on the absolute unique users) you should not exclude them, but maybe educate them with eg a banner that they could update (with links to help) and may not get full experience on your side. Also give them a feedback possibility why they can’t update
-
I have mixed feelings on this. Yes 3-5% is a reasonable share to consider but it also depends on how much involvement it would be to drop IE 10 in the long run. Considering that the support pretty much ended the share will only decrease more.

Really depends on target audience, i.e. for smaller projects not important, but larger companies with 20 million revenue for instance will consider that 3-5% missing users may loose them tons of $$$.pic.twitter.com/me1tSEgqS4
