Writing code is the easy part. Being patient, having empathy and communicating well, is much harder.

It is especially hard if people feel you are not being empathetic to their usage :(
Asking on how they feel you might improve can be helpful. Communication is a hard problem.

I've done that; still, when you have to compromise and can't do something that everyone is ok with, it is hard to look empathetic
