I'd say GitHub is #1, Twitter #2 for the wider Node community. In-groups vary, but IRC is def up there

Disagree. Topics of this nature always invite trolls. But most /r/node discussions occurring on this topic are reasonable and well-balanced.

Places like /r/rust, and /r/overwatch are generally quite nice. I suspect its because of good mods
