Does anyone know any good books on layout design? Basically want to flip through the pages, and implement the layouts on the web

http://editions-b42.com/books/detail-typography/ … should be read before bringhurst, brockmann, vignelli et al – helps to understand the basics regardless of print/web

People always talk about this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Grid-Systems-Graphic-Design-Communication/dp/3721201450 … but seems like you either love it or hate it. Haven't read it, but would love to

I also kinda feel like I should maybe just buy a stack of magazines and copy the grids.

I have the first mention, and it is very good! Not much on grid design tho, but heaps on hori/vert rythm, paring, leading etc.
